Marriage property agreement
A marriage property agreement (commonly called a prenuptial agreement) is an arrangement made between future or current spouses that allows for changing the statutory property regime. By default, at the moment of marriage, a joint property is formed, encompassing most assets acquired after the wedding. A property agreement allows for adapting this regime to the individual needs of the spouses. It can be concluded before the wedding (takes effect from the moment of marriage) or after the wedding (can change the property regime at any time, and even modify it multiple times).
